Curating the world’s largest Indigenous digital immersive experience, Wayne collaborated with Adam Knight and Grande Experiences to create ‘Connection’ the 3D immersion that attracted record audiences at the National Museum in Canberra and the Lume in Melbourne.
His internationally acclaimed book ‘Culture is Life’ book was recently republished by Hardie Grant with the National Photographic Portrait Award winning image of traditional dancer Eric Yunkanpora, on the cover, he is the first Aboriginal photographer to be awarded the prestigious accolade.
Recently, Wayne created a series of projected immersions for London Fashion week. The digital projections featured at the Australian Embassy followed by shows in The Hauge and Vienna. His team documented tour and several projects including a short film are in the final stages of production.
The newly built ‘Waterloo’ train station in Sydney features a 40m x 40m artwork of Waynes artwork. Working with TransUrban and consulting with the local Aboriginal community, Wayne engaged Indigenous Dance group ‘Brolga’, to create a series of powerfully cultural photographs. Over 200 panels were etched with the final artwork and is in numerous Australian and International publications.
He is the Australian artist for ‘Visioning Regenerative Future’, in Switzerland/Italy/England. His work will feature several platforms across the Globe relating to Indigenous culture and regeneration.
Commissioned to create a duplicitous series of artworks for the executive area in the new Deloitte QQT’s futurist building in Sydney, Wayne also created a 360 degree audio visual immersion in their custom built ‘Igloo’ that shares the stories of connection and culture with corporate clients.
Wayne was the official photographer, videographer of the Kinaway tour of the USA and represented his wine label Mt Yengo during the visit.
Australia’s iconic ‘Bangarra Dance Theatre’, commissioned Wayne to create an immersive series of video art for a special production of their latest performances.
Wayne is the Creative Director of ‘Bardu Gili’ which is currently projecting onto the sails of the Sydney Opera House every night during 2024 and was the creative director of ‘Gumbaya Dreaming’, an interactive light immersion at Gumbuya World in Victoria.
Owner of Australia first Indigenous wine label Mt Yengo, Wayne’s artwork also adorns the labels of the 8 different varietals which are currently stocked by Coles and Carnival Cruise liners.
Wayne recently conceptualised a new series of work for new offices in Canberra, consulting with local Indigenous communities, he interpreted the stories and landscapes into 3D renders now imbedded into glass panels throughout the building.
Wayne is the winner of the British Journey of Photography Decade of Change Award which is currently on show in Dublin, Ireland and soon to tour Europe.
Wayne’s creations are the featured artworks in the newly built Department of Agriculture in Canberra, Australia. The 6m x 3 m designs adorn each of the purpose built floors that connect culture and land to the state of the art premise.
More than 15 of his artworks have recently installed in the Australian Consulate in New Zealand as a permanent collection, with another 15 to be installed in late 2024.
Creating a series of digital immersions for AfterPay Fashion Week in Sydney, his work featured on all the mainstream catwalk backdrops.
Waynes work featured at PhotoVille Festival in New York City during its summer series.
He is an Indigenous Literacy Foundation Ambassador and sits on the board of the Australian Aboriginal Art Association and AIME
Indigenous gathering ‘Blakdivisim’ at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl commissioned Wayne to create digital experiences during their concerts.
He collaborated with Indigenous fashion label ‘Ngali’ to create a new series of artwork for the collateral.
His ‘Apology Exhibition’, featured at Parliament House Canberra.
Waynes wine label ‘Mt Yengo’ was the sponsor of the Sydney Film Festival. He created numerous art instillations for the 4 week event.
Wayne created the latest Australia Post Video for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
He is working with the US Consulate in Melbourne to create a new series of artwork for their new Ambassador.
He is a Judge on National Contemporary Art Prize for the second year.
One of his artworks was acquired by the Lyon Housemuseum and Galleries in Melbourne.
